Fabric & Care
The fabric
Every CRITTER piece is cut from regenerated ECONYL® nylon — a technical stretch jersey reborn from waste like discarded fishing nets and fabric offcuts, engineered to hold the body like nothing else.
It's built to sculpt: the jersey compresses and smooths like shapewear, with a subtle sheen and a second-skin fit. Chlorine- and saltwater-resistant, so it moves from water to wherever you go after.
No overproduction. No dead stock. Made for you, in London, in three days.
Caring for it
Treated well, technical jersey lasts for years. A few rules keep the stretch, sheen and fit intact.
Washing — Machine wash cold (30°C) on gentle, or hand wash. Turn inside out. Mild detergent only; no fabric softener, no bleach (both break down the stretch).
Drying — Lay flat or hang away from direct heat and sun. Never tumble dry — heat is what kills the stretch.
Wearing & storing — Avoid rough surfaces (the fabric can snag). Reshape while damp. Store flat or hung.
Swimwear — Rinse in cold water after swimming. Chlorine, salt and sun cream all degrade stretch over time.
Don't — Iron, wring, or dry-clean.
